Muzzles have a stigma. We're working to change that.

A dog in a muzzle isn't a bad dog.

They might be reactive. They might eat rocks. They might hate having their nails done. They might be required to wear one. Or their person might simply know when an extra layer of safety is a good idea.

Whatever the reason, wearing a muzzle shouldn't stop a dog from being a dog.

That's the Muzzle Movement: better muzzles, less stigma, and more dogs safely out there living their lives.

Wait... is it supposed to be that big?

Yep! Room for panting.

Dogs don't sweat like we do. Panting is a major part of how they cool themselves, so a muzzle needs to leave enough room for a dog to fully open their mouth and pant — especially when they're active or it's hot.

That extra space isn't a bad fit. It's what allows your dog to pant, drink, take treats, and even vomit if they need to.

A muzzle shouldn't just fit around a dog's face. It needs to let the dog inside it function.
