Chin Strap

The Muzzle Movement Chin Strap is an optional add-on that gives a TMM muzzle extra stability without restricting a dog's ability to pant, drink, or take treats. TMM muzzles are fully secure on their own, but for dogs that paw at the muzzle from underneath, or for handlers who want a firmer fit during walks, training, or transport, a chin strap adds a second point of security below the jaw.

When to Use a Chin Strap

Because TMM muzzles are built with an open, breathable basket, a small amount of movement during activity is normal. Most dogs never notice it. Some, however, learn to hook a paw under the basket and work it loose. A head strap is the usual fix, but for dogs that can't tolerate one, the chin strap is a practical alternative.

Hardware Care

Chicago screws can loosen gradually with daily use. Check tightness periodically, and once the fit and color combination are finalized, a small drop of thread locker (such as Loctite) will hold the screws permanently.
