RM306 Cat Sized Restraint Module

Model RM306 from Tomahawk Live Trap is designed for easy handling of cats. Restraint modules are essential tools for difficult animal handling. They allow for zero contact handling and can make fractious animal handling both safer and more humane.

This module features sliding doors at both ends of the cage which eliminates the need to turn animals around or back animals out when done. This restraint module measures 20L x 11W x 12H" and is constructed from 1 x 1" - 14 gauge wire mesh. The module features an internal panel used to gently push your cat against the opposite side of the cage. The panel arms features notches that can lock into place by sliding them down onto the cage wire. This locking feature allows a single person to use the restraint module while tending to cats.

Restraint modules should be considered essential tools for animal shelters and clinics. Humane Innovations recommends having at least one per facility and/or per intake and behavior type space. Additionally, you can consider cutting out small sections of the cage so that you can more easily use chip scanners, syringes, etc. With practice, it is possible to perform full intake procedures on animals through a restraint module, thereby eliminating invasive (stressful) handling and potentially reducing length of stay.
