The Muzzle Movement Head Strap Set – Pippa, Harry 2.0 & Mitzy
A complete set of over-the-head stabilizing straps for every muzzle in The Muzzle Movement's Short & Wide Fit collection. This set includes one correctly sized head strap for the Pippa, one for the Harry 2.0, and one for the Mitzy — ideal for professionals and shelters who run all three muzzle sizes and want a matched strap ready for each.
Who This Is For
If you already own the Pippa, Harry 2.0, and Mitzy — or are building out a complete brachycephalic muzzling kit — this set ensures every muzzle in your collection has its own dedicated head strap. Rather than ordering straps individually or sourcing them separately, this set gives you everything in one order, sized and ready to install.
What's Included
- 1x Pippa Head Strap — sized for The Muzzle Movement Pippa muzzle
- 1x Harry 2.0 Head Strap — sized for The Muzzle Movement Harry 2.0 muzzle
- 1x Mitzy Head Strap — sized for The Muzzle Movement Mitzy muzzle
Each strap is made from Biothane webbing and installs via Chicago screws at the attachment points on each side of the basket, creating a third anchoring point over the top of the dog's head. All straps are adjustable and removable.
When a Head Strap Makes a Difference
The Muzzle Movement's basket muzzles are complete and functional without a head strap. However, a third attachment point becomes valuable in high-energy situations, with powerful or reactive dogs, or in professional working environments — animal control, veterinary handling, shelter intake — where any muzzle movement compromises safety. The head strap prevents rotational movement, forward shift, and vertical drift, keeping the basket positioned correctly under pressure.
Color & Customization
Head straps are stocked in black Biothane as standard. Custom colors to match your specific muzzle configuration are available by special order — contact us to discuss requirements and lead times.
Installation
Each strap installs the same way across all three sizes:
- Position the strap over the dog's head between the ears
- Align the strap ends with the attachment points on each side of the basket
- Insert Chicago screws through the strap ends and basket holes
- Tighten securely and adjust length for a comfortable, secure fit
- Check screw tightness regularly, particularly during the first month of use
Important Note on Cropped Ears
Dogs with cropped ears may experience reduced stabilization benefit from a head strap, as the strap relies on the ear base for anchoring. Contact us before ordering if this applies to dogs in your care.
